About Me

I've always been a people person. Growing up in an army family meant moving every two years, so I learnt to connect with all sorts of people quite easily. People often say I am easy to talk to and I know this skill has helped me enormously in life.

Helping others is something I have always been drawn to. My family is full of caregivers – my mother and grandmother were both nurses and my father was a dentist. While my extended family is full of nurses, social workers and teachers - all professions that offer help and care to others.

For the last twelve years I have run a holiday site, creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Interestingly, many guests open up to me and I have found myself listening to their life challenges and on occasion, offered advice based on my own self-healing journey.

In 2020 I decided to take things further and start my journey to becoming a counsellor, so here I am. Welcome!

My Background

Working as a counsellor is such an honour, as I feel that everyone has the right to be heard, understood and treated fairly.

I am a relational counsellor, who loves connection to people and nature, having rekindled my love of being outside after living in the countryside for the last twelve years.

Whether you come to me with anxiety, depression, low self esteem, grief, trauma, stress, ADHD or daily life challenges, I will use a variety of techniques that centre around you.

My approach is empathetic, authentic and compassionate, while offering a safe space to help you to explore any issues you may be facing.

I work to empower my clients to gain a better sense of self, helping them to become more in charge of their own lives. Working together outside, while taking in the beauty of the natural world, really helps to nurture this process.

As we wander, I will offer you, where appropriate, advice or techniques to help guide you towards a specific outcome. This may include some exercises that help you to experience a closer connection to the land.

By working together in a safe space and being truly listened to as we walk, hopefully you will find that you are able to start putting the puzzle pieces of your life together.
